About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Waitress to join the team at Javablue Cafe Seminyak. This is a full-time position based in Badung, Bali. As a Waitress, you will be the face of our café, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. Your role is essential to maintaining the warm, welcoming atmosphere that defines Javablue Cafe Seminyak and contributes directly to our reputation for hospitality excellence.

Key responsibilities

1. Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival, seating them and presenting menus with a warm welcome

2. Take accurate food and beverage orders from customers, clarifying any special requests or dietary requirements

3. Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff in an efficient and timely manner

4. Serve food and beverages to customers with attention to detail and proper presentation standards

5. Check in regularly with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or requests

6. Clear tables promptly after guests have finished and prepare them for the next seating

7. Maintain a clean and organised dining area, including floors, tables and station areas

8. Handle cash and card transactions accurately, processing payments and providing change or receipts as required

9. Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service delivery during busy periods

10. Provide recommendations on menu items and beverages to enhance the guest experience

11. Adhere to health and safety standards, maintaining proper hygiene throughout service

12. Communicate any issues or feedback to management to ensure continuous service improvement

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a waitress or in a similar customer-facing service role within the hospitality industry

2. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality

3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

4. Proficiency in taking orders accurately and remembering customer preferences

5. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, particularly during peak service times

6. Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette

7. Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and calculating bills

8. Fluency in Indonesian and English; additional languages are a plus

9. Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

10. A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service and creating positive guest interactions

11. Willingness to learn about menu items, café operations and house policies
