The Role Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure/Cloud Architect z/OS responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of IBM mainframe operating systems and supporting infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring system stability, performance, security, and availability. Key Responsibilities - Install, configure, and maintain z/OS environments. - Perform operating system upgrades and migrations. - Manage system performance and capacity planning. - Administer SMP/E maintenance activities. - Support system recovery and disaster recovery processes. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues. - Implement system automation and operational improvements. - Maintain technical standards and documentation. - Support audit, compliance, and security initiatives. - Provide technical leadership and mentoring. Who You Are Required Experience - 7-15+ years of z/OS systems programming experience. - Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments. - Proven experience with system upgrades and migrations. Technical Skills Core z/OS - z/OS administration. - SMP/E. - JES2/JES3. - TSO/ISPF. - JCL. - UNIX System Services (USS). - HCD/HCM. - System dumps and diagnostics. Infrastructure - Sysplex. - Parallel Sysplex. - WLM. - RMF. - SDSF. - VTAM/TCPIP. - SAF/RACF integration. Tools - REXX. - Automation tools. - Performance monitoring tools. Preferred Skills - GDPS. - Storage management exposure. - Security administration knowledge. - DevOps and automation experience. - Cloud integration awareness. Qualifications - Degree, diploma, or equivalent technical experience. - IBM Mainframe certifications advantageous.
