CAPTAIN RESTAURANT (PIM)

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee all front-of-house operations and coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow

2. Greet guests warmly and manage table allocations to optimise dining experiences and restaurant capacity

3. Train, supervise, and mentor waiting staff to maintain consistent service quality and professional standards

4. Take orders accurately and provide expert recommendations on menu items and beverages

5. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally

6. Ensure tables are set correctly according to restaurant standards and maintain cleanliness of the dining area

7. Manage reservations and walk-in guests efficiently to maximise revenue and minimise wait times

8. Conduct pre-service briefings and communicate specials, menu changes, and service procedures to the team

9. Handle payments, process transactions accurately, and manage point-of-sale systems

10. Maintain knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information

11. Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a full-service restaurant or upscale dining establishment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or captain role

2. Proven expertise in fine dining service standards, etiquette, and guest management

3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff at all levels

4. Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a team effectively

5. Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

6. Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and reservation management software
