About us

ReForestNow is a non-profit organisation dedicated to ecosystem restoration and reforestation. We are seeking a fully-fledged, highly autonomous Accountant / Bookkeeper to efficiently manage our financial accounts, payroll, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities (Scope of Work)

• Xero Management: Manage comprehensive bank reconciliations and receipt management via Xero.

• Payroll & Superannuation: Handle ATO payroll reporting and Superannuation (SG) submissions through Xero.

• Tax Compliance: Monitor, calculate, and remit PAYG withholding.

• Financial Advisory: Provide tactical financial advice regarding proper payment/payroll setups and GST charging.

• BAS Lodgments: Ideally, manage and handle our quarterly BAS lodgments.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper, specifically managing Australian accounts and compliance.

• Advanced proficiency in Xero (including Bank Reconciliation, Payroll, and reporting functions).

• Solid understanding of ATO regulations, PAYG withholding, GST, and Superannuation requirements.

• Highly Desirable Registered BAS Agent status to handle quarterly lodgments.

• Ability to work independently, deliver accurate results with minimal supervision, and offer strategic financial guidance.

• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
