Job Description
Supervise daily laboratory operations to ensure all testing activities are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.
Lead, manage, and develop the laboratory team while ensuring adherence to SOPs and laboratory procedures.
Review and verify test results to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory data.
Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and availability of laboratory equipment.
Support the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001), laboratory safety, and 5S practices.
Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
Prepare laboratory reports and support internal, external, and customer audits.
Coordinate with cross-functional departments to improve laboratory efficiency and maintain consistent product quality.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of working experience, including at least 6 years in laboratory testing, analytical chemistry, quality control, or the oleochemical/manufacturing industry, and 3 years in a Laboratory Supervisor or Quality Control leadership role.
Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methods and quality control principles.
Proficient in operating laboratory instruments, including GC, ICP, AAS, moisture analyzers, and titration equipment.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and Root Cause Analysis/CAPA implementation skills.
Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, laboratory safety, and 5S practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); SAP experience is an advantage.
Good communication skills in English.
