The following will be the main duties of the Marine Superintendent, among others:
- Develop and implement training programs for UMMI seafarers.
- Deliver lectures and practical demonstrations on maritime safety and operations.
- Conduct Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar, SMS Trainings, and other In-house trainings.
- Assess crew's performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Assess Deck crew applicants' qualifications and suitability for the job.
- Prepare modules, training matrices, evaluations and monitor attainment of quality objectives.
- Handle UMMI Cadets' trainings and monitor their performance.
- Stay updated with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with industry professionals to enhance training courses.
Job Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field
- Training Course for Instructors (IMO Model Course 6.09)
- With IMO Model Course 6.10 is an advantage
- Experience Level: 5–8 years
- Skills and Competencies: Leadership Development, Public Speaking, Excellent Communication Skills, Written Communication
- Responsibilities and Duties: Design training materials and resources for effective learning
- Qualities and Traits: Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability
- Working Conditions: Classroom and hands-on training environments
