Senior Resource Geologist

Some of your duties will include:

• Develop, maintain, and update 3D geological and resource models using industry-standard software.

• Provide resource estimates and annual reporting that align with JORC Code/KCMI and company guidelines.

• Oversees geological database integrity, QA/QC, and validation processes; establishes and enforces standards for drilling, sampling, logging, data capture, and analytical procedures; and reviews and endorses geological interpretations and reports

• Provide technical input for mine planning, metallurgy, mining, and process operations.

• Oversee ore control programs and ensure a robust ore control model.

• Lead reconciliation between the resource model, ore control model, and mill performance.

• Optimize data workflows for timely updates to models and reports.

• Supervise modelling and database geologists, ensuring effective team performance.

• Provide technical guidance and training on modelling, ore control, and data management best practices.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related discipline

• Have 10 - 12 years’ experience as a geologist with minimum 5 years’ experience in a resource geology role preferably in the gold mining industry;

• Hold an operational inspector certificate (POP or POM).

• Advanced proficiency in geological modelling software (MineSight, Supervisor, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of geostatistics, resource estimation, and ore control principles.

• Expertise in database geology and QAQC processes.

• Certified Geostatistical applications; Certified Database management; Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.

• Proven leadership in supervising geologists, data analysts, and field teams; Strong delegation and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams; Approachable and collaborative, fostering positive team culture; Skilled in cross-functional collaboration across corporate departments and teams; Strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to consider organization-wide impacts.; Strong analytical thinking and high attention to detail; Open-minded, adaptable, and receptive to new ideas and changes; Clear communicator of safety policies and active promoter of safety participation.

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
