About the Role

Midea Indonesia is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Documentation Clerk to support export customs clearance activities. This role will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing customs documentation to ensure compliance with Indonesian customs regulations and smooth shipment processing.

The ideal candidate has experience handling customs clearance documents, strong administrative skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, organize, and maintain export customs clearance documentation.

• Ensure consistency between shipping documents and physical goods in compliance with Indonesian customs regulations.

• Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, permits, and other customs-related documents.

• Accurately input customs declaration data into the Indonesian customs electronic declaration system (e-CD / BC 2.2).

• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping agents, and internal departments regarding customs documentation requirements.

• Support customs clearance activities by ensuring all required documents are complete and accurate.

• Maintain document filing systems, tracking records, and customs documentation databases.

• Assist the Customs Manager in document verification, audits, and customs inspections.

• Identify documentation discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.

• Minimize customs clearance risks caused by incomplete or inaccurate documentation.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures and Indonesian customs regulations.

Requirements

• Indonesian citizen.

• Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Customs Documentation, Customs Clearance, Export Documentation, Import Documentation, or related roles.

• Strong understanding of Indonesian customs documentation requirements and clearance processes.

• Experience preparing and reviewing shipping documents.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and document administration.

• Familiarity with Indonesian electronic customs declaration systems (e-CD / BC 2.2) is highly preferred.

• Native-level Indonesian language proficiency.

• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• High attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility.

• Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• No criminal or compliance violation records.
