About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Maintenance & Dispatch Coordinator (Reefers) to support daily operations for a fleet of refrigerated trucks and trailers. This role combines dispatch coordination with maintenance support, ensuring equipment stays operational, repairs are handled efficiently, and drivers receive timely assistance.

The ideal candidate has experience in trucking operations, understands basic truck and trailer maintenance, and can effectively coordinate repairs, vendors, and roadside assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily dispatch activities for refrigerated trucks and trailers.

  • Monitor fleet status and ensure equipment availability.

  • Communicate with drivers regarding operational updates, breakdowns, and repair progress.

  • Identify and troubleshoot basic truck and trailer issues.

  • Coordinate roadside assistance and emergency repairs.

  • Locate and work with reliable repair shops and maintenance vendors.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with new repair facilities and service providers.

  • Track repair progress and follow up until equipment is returned to service.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and vendor information.

  • Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

  • Support reefer-related troubleshooting and ensure temperature-sensitive freight remains protected.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in trucking operations, dispatch, fleet maintenance coordination, or equipment support.

  • Experience with refrigerated (reefer) trucks and trailers is strongly preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance and repair processes.

  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs efficiently.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working with repair shops, roadside assistance providers, and maintenance vendors.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), fleet software, and Microsoft Office tools.

  • English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of reefer units (Carrier, Thermo King, etc.).

  • Experience with breakdown management and fleet maintenance coordination.

  • Understanding of DOT compliance and preventive maintenance processes.
