Project Scope:
We are seeking an experienced IDMS DatabaseAdministrator (IDMS DBA) to provide enterprise-level databaseadministration and operational support for mission-critical mainframeapplications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CAIDMS on IBM z/OS, strong performance tuning expertise, and deep knowledgeof database security, SQL, COBOL, and mainframe technologies.
This role requires collaboration withdevelopment teams, infrastructure support teams, and database administrators toensure database performance, availability, and reliability in a high-visibilityenterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
·Administer andsupport IDMS databases in IBM z/OS environments.
·Monitor,troubleshoot, and optimize IDMS database performance.
·Maintaindevelopment, testing, staging, and production database environments.
·Enable and tuneIDMS features to maximize system performance.
·Analyze databaseperformance metrics and implement optimization strategies.
·Support databasedeployment, upgrades, and operational procedures.
·Design andimplement database security and access controls.
·Provide technicalguidance on database design, modeling, and enhancements.
·Collaborate withdevelopment, infrastructure, and support teams.
·Coordinate withvendors and external stakeholders when required.
·Participate in a24x7 on-call support rotation.
·Prepare andmaintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
·15+ years ofexperience administering CA IDMS in IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
·10+ years ofexperience with IDMS SQL and relational database implementation.
·15+ years ofexperience with IDMS Security, including ADS/O, IDD, and relationaldatabase security.
·15+ years ofexperience developing applications using COBOL and ADS/O withIDMS.
·12+ years ofexperience with IBM High Level Assembler (HLASM) on z/OS.
·10+ years ofexperience with IDMS Perfmon monitoring and reporting.
·Strong knowledgeof enterprise database administration, performance tuning, backup, recovery,and troubleshooting.
·Excellentcommunication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Education
