Piping Estimation Specialist

Opportunity

PT Koin Konstruksi is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Piping Estimation Specialist to join our team in West Jakarta.

As a Piping Estimation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in estimating costs, materials, and labor for piping projects across various construction scales.

This position requires in-depth expertise in piping system analysis, a thorough understanding of technical specifications, and the ability to produce accurate and competitive estimates.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyze technical drawings and project specifications to determine detailed material and accessory requirements for piping systems.

2. Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates covering materials, equipment, and labor for piping projects.

3. Perform precise quantity take-offs for piping work based on design documents and blueprints.

4. Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to verify the scope of work and ensure estimates align with industry standards.

5. Identify and document potential risks and contingencies within estimates to optimize profit margins.

6. Research material and subcontractor pricing to ensure estimates remain market-competitive.

7. Prepare structured estimation reports and presentations for management and clients.

8. Assist in bid evaluation and cost comparison analysis to optimize project outcomes.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

1. Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

2. Minimum 5–10 years of experience as an Estimator or Cost Specialist in the construction industry, specifically within power plants, refineries, and petrochemical facilities.

3. Minimum 5–10 years of experience as an Estimator or Cost Specialist in the general construction industry (outside of power plants, refineries, and petrochemical facilities).

4. Proficiency in international technical codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO, API, IEC).

5. In-depth understanding of piping systems, piping materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, etc.), and piping accessories.

6. Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings (blueprints) and project specifications.

7. Proficiency in estimation and CAD software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with construction-specific estimation software is preferred.

8. Strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail regarding the identification and calculation of material quantities.

9. Effective communication skills in both Indonesian and English to coordinate with various stakeholders.

10. Experience with large-scale or complex construction projects is an advantage.
