About the role

We are seeking an Automatic Fare Collection System (AFC) Project Engineer to join our team on a contract basis, based in Central Jakarta. This is a strategic role that plays a crucial part in the design, implementation, and optimisation of our fare collection systems. As the AFC Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing technical projects related to our automatic fare collection infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of systems that directly impact passenger experience and revenue operations. Your work will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the technological backbone of our transit payment systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automatic fare collection system solutions and upgrades to meet operational and business requirements

  • Conduct system requirements analysis and feasibility studies for AFC infrastructure projects

  • Oversee technical implementation and integration of fare collection hardware and software components

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and IT departments to ensure successful project delivery
