Back-end Developer

About the role

PT Tunas Sukses Mandiri is seeking a talented and experienced Back-end Developer to join our growing technology team. This is a full-time position based in Jakarta Selatan. As a Back-end Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic and databases that power our applications. Your work will directly impact the performance, scalability, and reliability of our digital infrastructure, making this position essential to our company's technical foundation and continued growth.

Key responsibilities

1. Design and develop robust back-end solutions using industry-standard programming languages and frameworks

2. Build and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance

3. Create and maintain RESTful APIs and web services that enable seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems

4. Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions

5. Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that adheres to established coding standards and best practices

6. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality

7. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks

8. Participate in testing and quality assurance processes to identify and fix bugs before deployment

9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools

10. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovations for our systems

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

2. Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience as a Back-end Developer or similar role

3. Strong proficiency in at least one server-side programming language such as Java, Python, PHP, Node.js, C#, or Go

4. Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

5. Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and web services

6. Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git

7. Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is advantageous

8. Understanding of software design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code practices

9. Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker is preferred

10. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively

11. Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

12. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
