Job Role
The Assistant Tax Manager – Tax Consulting & Litigation will play a key role in managing tax consulting projects, supporting tax dispute engagements, and delivering high-quality advisory solutions to clients.
This position requires strong technical knowledge of Indonesian taxation, experience in tax dispute handling, and the ability to manage multiple client projects while maintaining accuracy and compliance. The successful candidate will support senior managers, supervise team members, coordinate client engagements, and provide strategic tax analysis for complex business situations.
Key Responsibilities
Support senior management in managing tax advisory, tax litigation, and dispute resolution engagements.
Handle tax projects including tax reviews, compliance, due diligence, transfer pricing, and fiscal advisory assignments.
Manage tax dispute processes including tax audits, SP2DK responses, objections, appeals, and judicial review support.
Review technical tax analysis, reports, working papers, and client deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy.
Provide guidance, supervision, and mentoring to junior team members.
Coordinate directly with clients regarding project updates, documentation requirements, and technical discussions.
Analyze tax regulations and provide insights regarding their impact on client business operations.
Prepare tax opinions, technical memos, supporting documents, and case analysis for client matters.
Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and reliable project execution.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and within deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Fiscal Administration, Taxation, Finance, or related disciplines from a reputable university.
Minimum 4 years of experience in tax consulting firms, tax advisory firms, or law firms specializing in taxation.
Strong experience handling Indonesian tax audits, disputes, litigation support, advisory, and compliance projects.
Experience managing SP2DK responses, tax audit processes, objections, appeals, or tax dispute matters.
USKP A and USKP B certifications are mandatory.
Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations including KUP, PPh, and PPN.
Familiarity with tax authority systems and digital tax reporting platforms.
Strong accounting and financial analysis skills, including financial statement review and tax reconciliation.
Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven consulting environment.
Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills.
Intermediate to fluent English proficiency (written and verbal).
