Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices, experience in data analysis involved budgeting, accounting system/application evaluation and be proficient in using ERP accounting systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in accounting system implementation, migration, and process enhancement projects.

  • Prepare timely monthly management accounts & financial reports.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and audit requirements.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of daily finance operations.

  • Monitor cash flow, banking transactions, and manage debtor and creditor balances to support effective working capital management.

  • Perform account reconciliations and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger functions.

  • Manage and optimize the utilization of banking and trade facilities to support the Group's operational and funding requirements.

  • Work with department heads to improve budgeting, cost efficiency, and profitability.

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and relevant authorities.

  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and other financial analysis as required by management.

  • Undertake ad hoc assignments and projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent).

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

  • Experience with ERP accounting systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.

  • Good understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and local banking facilities/instruments.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Possess good business acumen with the ability to understand operational and financial impacts on the business.

  • A swift thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to execute tasks efficiently.

  • Results-oriented, proactive, and committed to meeting objectives and deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Trustworthy, reliable, and demonstrates a high level of integrity.

  • Well-organized, able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work effectively under tight reporting timelines.
