Jeppesen ForeFlight builds industry-leading aviation software used by pilots, aircraft operators, and major airlines worldwide. As a high-growth, private equity-backed company, we are focused on scaling our operations, strengthening our financial infrastructure, and driving operational excellence across the business. Our team combines deep domain expertise with a collaborative, high-performance culture to solve complex challenges and support continued growth.

This is a US-based role requiring deep aviation domain expertise, particularly experience with avionics systems from companies such as Collins Aerospace, Honeywell, or similar OEM partners. The ideal candidate brings hands-on knowledge of airport operations, runway incursion prevention, and avionics display environments, combined with the autonomy to operate as a strong individual contributor in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate product requirements to software engineering and data production teams, ensuring collaboration and coordination on data, asset, and product specification enhancements aligned to roadmap targets.
  • Document end-to-end business requirements and understand data needs for AMM products including avionics-integrated and EFB-based displays, front-panel applications, and back-office infrastructure systems.
  • Coordinate across portfolios with internal consumers of AMM data — including Flight Deck and ForeFlight Mobile product and engineering teams — to ensure roadmap alignment.
  • Coordinate with external airline and avionics customers to ensure customer requirements are integrated into the product roadmap.
  • Document product architecture and develop product processes.
  • Participate in data governance decisions and maintain data quality standards.
  • Determine product pricing, pricing schedules, annual pricing updates, product plans, roadmaps, and product release plans.
  • Develop new Airport Moving Map product concepts through to eventual launch, as well as vision documents to initiate technology development efforts.
  • Manage all aspects of AMM product lifecycle management including the development and presentation of business cases.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all ongoing Airport Moving Map product decisions, ensuring implementation consistency and effective client communication.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, distribution, support, technology services, data services, and legal/contracts to drive product decisions.
  • Develop competitive response and contingency plans to address market-specific needs.
  • Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and customer/partner meetings.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in product development/management, program management, and/or financial analysis.
  • Significant aviation domain expertise required — specifically experience with avionics systems from OEM manufacturers such as Collins Aerospace, Honeywell, Garmin, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Airport Moving Map products, avionics display applications, or airport navigation data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, specifically with software engineering and sales/marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and operate with high autonomy in a cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Technology, Business, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred.
  • Experience with geospatial data, mapping, or aviation navigation systems.
  • Familiarity with airport operations, ATC environments, or runway incursion prevention.
  • Experience with web-based geospatial tools or digital mapping platforms.
  • Prior work at an avionics OEM, airline, or aeronautical data provider.
  • Preferred hybrid arrangement in Austin, TX or Denver, CO if no domain experience
