Key Responsibilities :
CAPEX & Project Management: Lead the scoping, budgeting, installation, and commissioning of new equipment (e.g., IR & AI sorting machine, washing lines, pelletizers, mono & multi-layer blown film, cutting machines).
Maintenance & Reliability: Overhaul and manage the Predictive/Preventive Maintenance (PPM) program to minimize unplanned downtime on continuous 24/7 manufacturing lines.
Process Optimization & OEE: Partner with production to stabilize processes. Bridge the gap between recycled resin variability (melt index, contamination) and blown film quality (gauge control, bubble stability, gel reduction).
Automation & Controls: Drive smart manufacturing initiatives, upgrading PLC systems, gravimetric blending systems, and inline gauge monitoring to improve consistency.
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and upskill a team of mechanical/electrical engineers, controls technicians, and maintenance personnel.
EHS & Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities and machinery modifications comply with local safety regulations, OSHA standards, and environmental permits (especially regarding recycling wash-water treatment and emissions).
Job Specifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Plastics/Polymer Engineering, or a highly related technical field; with minimum GPA 3.0 out of 4.0
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in plastics manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role, Strong preference, Having experience with Blown Film Extrusion is an advantage
Technical Skills & Knowledge : Extrusion Deep-Dive, Recycling Competency, Troubleshooting & Root Cause, Software & Systems (CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems))
