Job Summary
The Project Management Officer supports the Finance, Accounting, and Tax Department by driving process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives. The role is responsible for assessing current finance processes, identifying opportunities for optimization, coordinating development and testing of solutions, and supporting deployment to ensure improved accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. By providing structured project execution and financial process enhancement, this role contributes to stronger operational performance and better alignment with organizational goals.
Job Description
Process Assessment & Opportunity Identification
Assess process improvement opportunities by conducting process mapping to identify recurring bottlenecks and prioritize high-impact issues.
Compile input from stakeholders by consolidating recurring issues or bottlenecks, and ranking issues based on error frequency and cycle time, so that resources are directed toward initiatives with the highest organizational value.
Process Design & Business Case Development
Assess automation or system enhancement by designing and planning improvements, defining future (“to-be”) workflows, and verifying risk and impact analysis, in order to recommend solutions that enhance efficiency and reinforce controls.
Compile business cases for automation by estimating cost savings, accuracy gains, and cycle time reductions, consolidating investment and resource proposals, and presenting findings to management, to enable informed decision-making.
Facilitate communication between users and IT by gathering and clarifying business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring mutual understanding, to align system solutions with FAT needs and support seamless project execution.
Coordinate system development and configuration by collaborating with IT teams, vendors, and internal developers, to design workflows, rules, and validation logic, ensuring solutions effectively address finance user requirements and support operational excellence.
Execute user acceptance testing (UAT) by simulating live data scenarios, monitoring outputs and error handling, and logging defects for fixes, to ensure solutions are in place and implemented before deployment.
Monitor & Optimize Implemented Improvements
Update implemented improvements by tracking performance goals and gathering user feedback, to ensure initiatives achieve intended outcomes and support ongoing efficiency gain.
Compile and share best practices by maintaining a central repository of optimized workflows, and recommending standardized approaches across business units, to embed organizational learning and drive consistent performance.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related fields
Minimum 3 years of experience in finance operations, process improvement, or project management
Knowledge or ERP systems
Proficiency in using Excel and Power BI
Basic RPA or automation tools are preferred
Project management certifications (e.g., CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation) or Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt are an advantage
