About Us
The Istana is a wellness and meditation retreat on the cliffs of Uluwatu. We run yoga and meditation alongside spa and biohacking treatments.
The Role
We are hiring a shiatsu therapist to join our team. Room, linens, and supplies are provided.
Responsibilities
Run shiatsu sessions and brief intake chats.
Adapt to each guest, including prenatal, elderly, and post-injury cases (within your training).
Keep notes in our system.
Reset the room between guests.
Offer simple aftercare: stretches, breathwork, and hydration.
Keep things clean and professional.
Required
Prior Shiatsu training.
Fluent in English.
Familiarity with meridian theory and related shiatsu frameworks and practices.
Nice to Have
Experience in a spa, clinic, or retreat.
Training in a related modality (Thai massage, tuina, reflexology, etc.).
Experience with prenatal or geriatric clients.
A personal practice in meditation or yoga.
An additional language, especially Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, or Russian.
