We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation, budget management, and procurement processes. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in controlling project finances and delivering value for money on all our construction initiatives. This role requires someone with strong analytical abilities and a comprehensive understanding of construction practices and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Administration: Support the administration of main contracts and subcontracts, ensuring all parties meet their contractual obligations.

  • Bill of Quantities (BQ): Prepare, analyze, and manage the Bill of Quantities (BQ) for project tendering and execution.

  • Quantity Measurement: Perform accurate measurement and quantification of construction works from drawings and on-site, specifically for micro-tunneling activities (e.g., pipe jacking, shaft construction).

  • Valuation & Progress Claims: Prepare and submit monthly progress payment claims (interim applications) to clients and evaluate claims from subcontractors.

  • Cost Control: Monitor project costs against the budget, identify variations, and report on any potential cost overruns.

  • Variation Management: Identify, price, and negotiate variation orders for changes in project scope.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial and contractual documents, including correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes.

  • Reporting: Assist in preparing regular cost reports and financial forecasts for project management.

  • Tender Pricing (Senior): Assist in the analysis and preparation of competitive tender pricing and bids.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 3 years of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. Experience with infrastructure, pipeline, or underground works is a significant advantage.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding and practical experience with Bill of Quantities (BQ) and contract documents.

    • Proficient in quantity measurement and take-off from technical drawings.

    • Familiarity with standard construction contracts in Indonesia.

    • Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); knowledge of QS software (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD) is a plus.

  • Personal Attributes:

    • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.

    • Good negotiation and communication skills.

    • Able to work effectively both in a team and independently.

    • Proactive, willing to learn, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    • High level of integrity and professionalism.
