About the Role
The Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by identifying and assessing workplace risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring the effective implementation of safe work practices across all operations.
The role also supports the implementation and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) management systems, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, company standards, and industry best practices to enhance operational quality, safeguard employees, and protect the environment.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and culture throughout the workplace in compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations. Monitor, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs, and ensure appropriate preventive and corrective actions are implemented.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment, tools, work areas, first aid facilities, and emergency response equipment to ensure compliance with HSE standards and eliminate potential risks to employee health and safety.
Identify, assess, and maintain a register of potential hazards and risks associated with the company's operations. Analyze key HSE issues, develop mitigation measures, and prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for management review and decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline; higher qualifications are an advantage.
Fluent in both Indonesian and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management.
Certified Lifting Equipment Expert with at least 2 years of experience in developing and implementing lifting plans and arrangements.
Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, with experience conducting management system audits.
Lead Auditor certification in ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 is preferred.
Additional certifications, such as SMK3 Auditor, ISPS Code, or other relevant Management System certifications, will be considered an advantage.
