Merchandiser

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive Furniture Merchandiser to join our team. In this role, you will act as the key liaison between our design/purchasing team and the manufacturing facilities. Your primary responsibility is to oversee and monitor the entire furniture production lifecycle—from the initial sample development stage until the final products are fully packed and ready for shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development Phase: Monitor the sample development process based on design specs, ensuring material choices and construction meet company standards.

• Pre-Production: Coordinate sample approvals with internal teams and ensure the factory fully understands the tech packs before mass production begins.

• Production Monitoring: Conduct daily check-ins and track factory production schedules to ensure the assembly line meets strict timelines.

• Quality Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to monitor product standards during production and minimize defect rates.

• Troubleshooting: Proactively identify production bottlenecks or delays on the factory floor and implement quick solutions to keep shipments on track.

• Final Stage & Shipment: Ensure product packaging meets safety standards for furniture transit, and track logistics readiness until goods are officially "ready to ship."

• Reporting: Maintain and update regular Production Status Reports (PSR) to keep management informed on order timelines and milestones.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required for seamless communication, reporting, and coordination.

• Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Interior Design, Business, or a related field.

• 1–2 years of experience as a Merchandiser or Production Controller, specifically within the furniture or home living manufacturing industry.

• Solid understanding of the furniture manufacturing process (material selection, woodworking, assembly, finishing, and packaging).

• Exceptional time management skills with a proven track record of meeting tight production deadlines.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with factories and vendors.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for compiling tracking sheets and production reports.
