About the Role:
As a Chemical Technology Senior Staff, you will manage laboratory activity, product improvement and new product/material development in order to response to market request, including development precise new color matching. You will play a key role in ensuring cost efficiency through raw material optimization and reformulation. This position requires close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Color Matching: Perform all daily laboratory activities, ensuring fast turnaround times for market requests and color matching.
New Product Launch: Partnering with Marketing and Sales to design, test, and launch reliable new products within defined timelines.
Cost & Formulation Optimization: Collaborate with Procurement and suppliers to source cost-effective alternative raw materials and reformulate products to achieve optimum quality at lower costs.
Compliance & Safety (SHE): Monitor and enforce Environmental Aspects and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Control (EA-HIRAC) across all laboratory activities.
Management Systems: Maintain and ensure full implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SMK3, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001, HAS 23000 (Halal), and GMP requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Actively drive KAIZEN activities to improve efficiency and eliminate waste in daily working processes.
Team Leadership: Foster a motivating work environment, demonstrating leadership in managing R&D projects and team members.
Job Requirements:
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering.
Experience: Preferably 3–4 years of proven experience in chemical product development.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the packaging or ink industry is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Excellent technical analysis, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in creating R&D reports.
Standards: Strong familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SMK3, HAS 23000, and GMP standards.
Language: Moderate to high proficiency in English (both oral and written).
