Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of a company to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. Here’s a more detailed look at what the role typically involves:
Key Responsibilities:
- Order & Shipment Management: Coordinate and track shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, reorder supplies when necessary, and reduce excess inventory. (Gasoline, Diesel and Oil). Keeping of keys and other accessories of the equipment, trucks and vehicle.
- Vendor & Carrier Liaison: Communicate with suppliers, freight carriers, and warehouses to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Scheduling: Create and adjust transportation and delivery schedules to meet deadlines. Scheduling of the drivers and operator. Deployment of the Trucks and Equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, customs documentation, and compliance paperwork. Recording of Expenses of Every travel and PO releasing.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly resolve shipping issues, delays, or damage claims.
- Processing: Permit to travel per vehicle (SLEX/NLEX/CALAX/SKYWAY and other HIGHWAY). Processing of Easytrip and Autosweep. Updating of OR/CR per vehicle. Processing of Certificate per Equipment (TUV NORD).
- Coordinating with the technical/maintenance team if there are issue with the units (EQUIPMENT, VEHICLE AND TRUCKS).
- Releasing: PO (Caltex) Keys (Duplicate Keys) per operators/drivers.
- Evaluating Performances of Drivers and Operators.
- Reporting of Accomplishments of Drivers and Operators.
- Reporting of weekly attendance of the drivers and Operator for payroll
Qualifications
- Education: Often requires an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), TMS (Transportation Management Systems), Excel, and ERP platforms.
- Attention to Detail: Essential for managing multiple shipments and maintaining compliance.
- Strong Communication: Ability to coordinate across departments and with external partners.
- Time Management & Multitasking: Handle several tasks and deadlines efficiently.
