Job Description
Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
Conduct API testing using Postman and validate system integrations.
Perform database validation and data integrity testing to ensure application accuracy and consistency.
Identify, document, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira.
Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Validate application functionality against business and technical requirements.
Support release readiness by executing manual test cycles, regression checks, and quality validation within the agreed delivery process.
Prepare and maintain testing documentation, test reports, and quality metrics.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending testing and quality assurance best practices.
Perform manual testing across functional behavior, user interface/display, and basic performance aspects of the application.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer or Software Tester.
Experience in web application testing, mobile application testing, API testing using Postman, and database validation.
Experience using project and documentation management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience working with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Ability to create, execute, and maintain comprehensive test documentation and test cases.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Familiarity with Katalon and Cucumber-based test scenarios is an advantage.
Willing to work onsite
Nice to Have
Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
Familiarity with Katalon and Cucumber-based testing documentation or test scenarios is an advantage.
Familiarity with SQL and database query validation.
Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and integration testing.
Experience working with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
Knowledge of performance, load, and security testing methodologies.
Experience using Git or other version control systems.
ISTQB or other QA-related certifications are an advantage.
Experience working in enterprise-scale application development projects.
