About Us

New Zealand Couriers have been helping Kiwis get their deliveries sorted since 1964. We are a nationwide team of over 1,000 people and we deliver tens of millions of parcels a year. We are committed, we know our stuff and we're proud to serve the communities we work in. As the flagship brand in the Freightways Group, we have enjoyed strong growth over recent years.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Revenue Analyst to join our team, reporting to the National Sales Manager - Business Development. This is a pivotal role focused on improving revenue performance, protecting margins, and enhancing the effectiveness of commercial processes across the organisation.

This role sits at the centre of our commercial decision-making, acting as the national authority for pricing governance while supporting the sales function to make confident, commercially sound decisions. You will partner closely with sales leaders, finance and operations to guide pricing decisions, remediate low-margin customers and uplift the commercial capability of the wider sales function through training and coaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the national approval point for pricing proposals and variations
  • Ensure pricing aligns with margin targets, cost recovery frameworks and national guidelines
  • Identify and address low-margin customers, implementing corrective pricing strategies
  • Support major bids and strategic opportunities with commercial analysis
  • Provide guidance and feedback to sales teams on pricing decisions and value-based positioning
  • Design and deliver commercial training to strengthen pricing capability
  • Monitor pricing trends and margin performance, providing insight and recommendations to leadership
  • Continuously improve pricing frameworks, tools and governance processes

About You

This role is ideal for an experienced commercial, revenue or pricing analyst who enjoys working with large transactional datasets, uncovering profitability opportunities and influencing commercial decisions that drive business performance.

You will bring:

  • Strong commercial and analytical capability with experience interpreting pricing, revenue, margin and profitability data
  • Experience working with large, complex financial and transactional datasets to identify trends, risks and commercial opportunities
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and maintain complex models, analyse large data sets and provide actionable business insights
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query or broader Microsoft Power Platform tools would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Experience within the Transport & Logistics, Freight, Distribution or FMCG sectors would be highly regarded
  • Experience working within or alongside sales teams, with a strong understanding of commercial decision-making, customer pricing and sales behaviours
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a commercial mindset
  • Proven experience identifying issues and implementing practical solutions that deliver measurable results
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information and influence stakeholders
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and functions

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping commercial performance within a growing business. You'll have the chance to influence decision-making, drive meaningful change, and work alongside experienced leaders committed to continuous improvement and customer success.

If you're a commercially minded analyst who enjoys partnering with people, solving problems, and making a measurable impact, we'd love to hear from you.

We encourage you to apply early as we will be reviewing applications regularly and may close the advertisement early.

The successful applicant will need to undergo a criminal history check and pre-employment drug test.
