About the role

Heartland Homes is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join their team in Putaruru, Waikato. This full-time role is responsible for providing vital administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office. As the first point of contact, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive impression of the company and delivering excellent customer service.

What you'll be doing

  • Handling various administrative tasks, including data entry, document preparation and filing

  • Preparing GST and PAYE when due

  • Managing and reconciling supplier payments and statements

  • Preparing client invoices, entering into the company accounting system and chase overdue payments

  • Managing and administration of Accounts payable and Accounts receivable

  • Processing payroll

  • Collaborating with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in an office administration or similar role, preferably within administration & office support and /or the building industry

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of customers, contractors, suppliers and colleagues

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records

  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle a variety of tasks and changing priorities
