About the Customer

Our client is an international software house based in South Jakarta, catering to both Indonesian and international customers. They specialize in website development, custom software development, mobile applications, and ERP solutions (Odoo). With multiple offices overseas, they have established a strong international presence across Indonesia, APAC, and Australia.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Generative AI Engineer to work directly with our client's international partner, a French technology company.

In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern Generative AI technologies. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to build intelligent solutions, automate business processes, and integrate AI capabilities into production systems.

This is a 1-year contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI applications for real-world business use cases.
• Build AI-powered chatbots, virtual assistants, content generation tools, and workflow automation solutions.
• Integrate LLMs into web applications and backend systems through APIs and scalable architectures.
• Develop and optimize prompt engineering strategies to improve AI performance and reliability.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and AI workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation.
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve deployed AI solutions.
• Ensure scalability, security, and responsible use of AI technologies.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Generative AI and recommend best practices for implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in AI engineering or software development with a focus on Generative AI.
• Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (e.g., GPT, Llama, Claude, Gemini, Mistral, or similar).
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-ready applications.
• Experience integrating AI models through APIs and developing end-to-end AI solutions.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques and LLM optimization.
• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration libraries.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and vector databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI agents and autonomous workflows.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, Milvus, or pgvector.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of MLOps and AI deployment best practices.
• Experience with multimodal AI applications involving text, images, audio, or video.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or personal AI portfolios.

Salary

For this position, the client's budget is IDR 10-20jt per month, based on experience.
