This role plays a critical part in ensuring that insurance product enhancements, process improvements, and system implementations are effectively designed, tested, and deployed into our core insurance system.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of insurance operations and product structures (life, non-life, or health) and experience in end-to-end system implementation—from requirement gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business & Product Analysis

  • Collaborate with business users to understand product requirements, system limitations, and business objectives.
  • Conduct detailed gap analysis between business needs and current system functionalities.
  • Document and maintain business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance product offerings and system capabilities.

System Implementation & Integration

  • Participate in core system configuration, product setup, and integration with peripheral systems (billing, claims, CRM, etc.).
  • Ensure that all new or enhanced insurance products are properly mapped and tested in the system before go-live.
  • Support system migratio, data conversion, and validation activities.
  • Work with developers, QA, and UAT teams to ensure the delivery meets business specifications.
  • Project Support & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and vendors, ensuring alignment across all project stages.
  • Contribute to project planning, documentation, and implementation timelines.
  • Conduct walkthroughs, training sessions, and knowledge transfer to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Provide post-deployment monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare regular project and status reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements within the insurance industry.
  • Maintain proper documentation and version control of business and system requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science
  • Master’s degree or certification (e.g. PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile/Scrum) is an advantage.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of insurance product structures, policy administration, claims, billing, and underwriting processes.
  • Proven experience in core insurance system implementation or migration (e.g., LifeAsia, Guidewire, TCS BaNCS, Oracle Insurance, or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with business process modeling, workflow design, and system integration concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance business priorities and technical constraints.
  • Proficiency in using JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Power BI, or equivalent tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) or Agile (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner).
  • Hands-on experience in data analysis, API integration, or testing coordination.
  • Background in project management or change management within an insurance setup.
  • Experience working with cross-functional or regional teams.
