POSITION : ACCOUNT / SENIOR ACCOUNT PAYABLE (URGENT)
JOB SUMMARY
The Account / Senior Account Payable is responsible for overseeing and manageing the full accounts payable sycle, encusring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor reconciliations. This role supports financial accuracy, compliace, and efficient cash flow management whil mentoring junior team members and improving AP processes.
JOB PURPOSE
Accounts Payable Operations
Process venfor invoices to record account payable in a timely and acurate manner (Demestic vendors and transportation vendors).
Ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses to relevant GL accounts and departments.
Maintain accurate and up-tp-date vendor records.
Vendor Management
Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
Perform vendor statement reconciliations regularly.
Month-End & Reporting
Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Prepart AP Aging reports, accruals, and reconciliations.
Ensure all liabilities are recorded accurately and on time.
Lias with both internal and external Auditor on interim and Yearly audit.
Tax compliance E-Filing
Prepare VAT reports and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
Prepare and submit WHT Forms, PND 1, 3, 53, 54 and PP36.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with supervisory experience preferred for Senior level.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and financial controls.
Experience in invoice processing, vendor management, payment scheduling, and account reconciliation.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).
Good understanding of tax regulations, withholding tax, VAT/GST, and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
For Senior Account Payable: Demonstrated experience in mentoring or guiding junior team members and driving process improvement initiatives.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is an advantage, especially in a multinational environment.
