Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Translator to support communication between local and China-based teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong language proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Indonesia, along with a solid background in Electronics Engineering. This role will be responsible for translating technical documentation, facilitating communication across departments, and supporting engineering projects from New Product Introduction (NPI) through mass production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate translation and interpretation between Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Indonesia during meetings, technical discussions, training sessions, and daily communications.

  • Translate technical documents, including engineering drawings, specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, test reports, Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and project-related documentation.

  • Support communication and coordination between local teams and China-based Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management teams.

  • Assist engineers in reviewing and understanding technical requirements, customer specifications, and engineering documentation.

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), project transfer, product qualification, and mass production activities through effective language and technical communication support.

  • Track project progress, follow up on action items, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.

  • Prepare and translate presentations, reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments, including Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management.

  • Maintain confidentiality of technical information, project data, and company documents.

  • Provide administrative and coordination support related to engineering projects as assigned by management.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Electronics Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in engineering translation, engineering support, project coordination, or manufacturing environments.

  • Fluent in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Indonesia, both spoken and written.

  • Strong understanding of electronics engineering terminology and technical concepts.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

  • Familiarity with NPI, project transfer, qualification, and mass production processes is an advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.

  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and confidentiality.
