Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Commis Pastry to join our sweet station at Cafe Dasa Sanur. In this role, you will assist in the daily production of high-quality pastries, cakes, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring consistency, freshness, and beautiful presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Pastry Preparation: Assist in measuring, mixing, baking, and decorating various pastries, cakes, desserts, and breads according to established recipes.
Station Organization: Set up and maintain the pastry station, ensuring all baking tools, equipment, and ingredients are clean and ready for service.
Quality & Freshness: Monitor stock rotation (FIFO) and ensure all pastry ingredients are fresh and stored at the correct temperatures.
Presentation: Ensure all desserts and baked goods are presented beautifully and consistently before serving.
Team Collaboration: Follow instructions from the Pastry Chef / Chef de Partie and maintain strict kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
Requirements
Basic experience, internship, or educational background in Pastry & Baking.
Good knowledge of pastry techniques, baking temperatures, and ingredient functions.
High precision, attention to detail, and a passion for decorating/plating.
Positive attitude, eager to learn, and able to work well in a team environment.
Flexibility to work early morning shifts or weekends as required.
