  • Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts to identify suspicious activities related to money laundering and terrorism financing.

  • Analyse customer profiles, transaction patterns, and behavioural trends to detect red flags and potential financial crime risks.

  • Prioritise and complete case reviews within defined timelines, ensuring all cases are supported with clear justification and documentation.

  • Prepare and escalate suspicious cases to overseas Country Compliance teams for further action and regulatory reporting (e.g. STR submission).

  • Engage with branches and internal stakeholders to obtain required information, ensure accurate data, and follow escalation protocols where necessary.

  • Ensure all investigations comply with AML/CFT regulations, internal policies, and quality standards, including timely resolution of QA feedback.

  • Monitor and investigate transactions across multiple overseas subsidiaries and branches, ensuring adherence to jurisdiction-specific AML laws and guidelines


Job Requirements

  • Experience in banking operations, compliance, or audit is an added advantage, as well as fresh graduates with relevant potential.

  • Basic to intermediate understanding of AML/CFT principles, with awareness of industry trends and regulatory expectations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to assess transaction data, identify suspicious patterns, and manage investigations effectively.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills to summarise findings, prepare reports, and engage stakeholders across different levels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with transaction monitoring systems or related analytical tools is an advantage.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with a positive and proactive attitude
