About the role
We're a fast-growing accountancy practice looking for a bright, ambitious accountant to join our remote team. This is a hands-on role with genuine scope to grow: from day one you'll work across a broad range of clients and assignments, build real technical depth quickly and shape the direction of your own career.
What you'll be doing
You will take on a broad range of work, including preparing Annual Accounts, Audit, Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT and Accounts bookkeeping.
Our training is second to none. You'll be placed on a steep learning curve early on, so you advance quickly rather than spending years "going through the motions."
You'll work in a genuinely fast-paced environment, regularly tackling real-world accounting and finance challenges, supported and pushed by a team of ambitious colleagues.
What we're looking for
Highly fluent in English (written and spoken)
Able to work to tight reporting deadlines under time pressure
A strong team player who can also work on their own initiative without constant supervision
Minimum 1 year of working experience, preferably in an audit or accountancy firm. Exceptionally bright graduates with a strong academic record and a clear aptitude for the work will also be considered.
Strong academic track record, including SPM and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification (e.g. ACCA / CPA, or actively studying towards one)
Able to prepare annual accounts/audit from scratch
Demonstrable, hands-on knowledge of AI features within bookkeeping / accounting software — e.g. automated bank reconciliation, AI-assisted transaction categorisation, and receipt/invoice data capture (in tools such as Xero, Sage, Dext, or similar). You should be able to talk us through how you've used these in practice.
Good proficiency in Sage Accounts Production and Xero Cloud Accounting is a plus.
