An effective Accounting Officer should possess a mix both technical and soft skills, which includes;
- Proficiency in Accounting software (QuickBooks) to accurately manage and report financial data.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to identify discrepancies in financial data and reconcile accounts.
- Strong problem-solving skills to help the organization address financial challenges and improve financial performances.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize workloads.
- Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team and build relationship with colleagues at all levels of organization.
- Integrity and ethical conduct to handle sensitive financial information confidentially and responsibly.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Report for Monthly Revenue
- Preparation and filing of withholding tax expanded (monthly & quarterly)
- Preparation and filing of VAT (Quarterly)
- Filing of E-Sales / EFPS
- Accruals and Amortizations:
- Lapsing Schedule - PPE
- Amortizations of Prepaid Expenses
- Accruals for rentals
- Deferred Revenue
- Payroll Entries from Manager and other monthly entries
- BIR LOA (Letter of Authority) for compliance.
- Bank Recon
- Preparation & Online filing of Gov't remittances (SSS/Phil/Pag)
- Bookkeeping (Payable / Receivable)
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- BS Accountancy / BSC - Accounting / BSBA - Accounting graduate
- 2-3 years experience as accounting supervisor
- Knowledgeable in MS Office / WPS
- Knowledgeable in Accounting Software (Quick Books)
- With experience in online filing:
- BIR - efps / orus / e-sales / eaccreg
- SSS - my.sss portal
- Pagibig - Virtual Pagibig
- Philhealth - Eprs
