About the Role

As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and improving the battery cell manufacturing process throughout the full production lifecycle. You will support mass production line operations, resolve process-related issues, drive continuous improvement in process quality and efficiency, participate in new product and equipment qualification, support cost reduction projects, and conduct customer failure analysis to ensure high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full lifecycle management of the company’s battery cell manufacturing process.

  • Lead and support battery cell production in the mass production line, solve process issues at the manufacturing site, and drive timely resolution of production problems.

  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of battery cells to meet production and delivery targets.

  • Drive continuous improvement activities at the manufacturing site to improve process quality, process capability, yield, and utilization.

  • Participate in new product, material, equipment, and cell qualification activities, ensuring qualification tasks are completed with quality and quantity requirements.

  • Prepare and submit qualification reports to support successful mass production introduction.

  • Participate in cost reduction projects and promote the implementation of cost-saving actions in battery cell manufacturing.

  • Optimize production processes to improve production efficiency and manufacturing stability.

  • Communicate with customers when required and conduct customer failure analysis related to product or process issues.

  • Support customer line visits, audits, and technical discussions to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Work closely with production, quality, equipment, R&D, and other cross-functional teams to solve process and manufacturing issues.


Requirements

  • Full-time Bachelor’s Degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.

  • Candidates with experience in lithium battery, battery cell, electronics, semiconductor, solar, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing industries will be preferred.

  • Familiar with battery cell manufacturing processes, manufacturing equipment principles, and process control methods.

  • Familiar with engineering and quality tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, 5 Why, DOE, RCA, or related improvement methods.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support production-related issues when required.
