Join our team as a Behavioral Health Support Specialist, where you'll assist members, patients, and healthcare providers by delivering compassionate, accurate, and timely support for behavioral and mental health services.
In this role, you'll serve as a trusted point of contact, helping individuals navigate their behavioral health benefits, provider networks, authorizations, claims, and available treatment resources while ensuring every interaction is handled with empathy, professionalism, and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound and outbound calls regarding behavioral health benefits, coverage, claims, eligibility, authorizations, and provider information.
- Provide accurate information about mental health and behavioral health services, treatment options, and available resources.
- Assist members in understanding their health plan benefits and guide them through the care process.
- Resolve customer concerns efficiently while delivering a positive customer experience.
- Document customer interactions accurately and maintain detailed records in company systems.
- Collaborate with internal departments and healthcare providers to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Meet quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction performance standards.
Qualifications
- College graduate without experience/college undergrad with atleast complete 2nd year college with 6 months bpo experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service, active listening, and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
- Previous experience in customer service, healthcare, or behavioral health is an advantage but not required.
- Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional when handling sensitive situations.
- Willingness to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays if required.
