About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Laundry Employee to join our cleaning services team in Pekanbaru, Riau. This is a hands-on position that plays a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for our clients. As a Laundry Employee, you will be responsible for processing, cleaning, and preparing garments and linens using both manual and mechanical methods. This position offers the opportunity to develop practical skills in a professional environment whilst contributing to the success of our growing cleaning services operation.
Key responsibilities
Sorting, washing, and drying garments and linens using industrial laundry equipment
Inspecting items for stains, damage, or defects before and after cleaning
Operating and maintaining laundry machinery, including washers, dryers, and pressing equipment
Applying appropriate cleaning agents and treatments to remove stains and soiling
Ironing, pressing, and folding garments and linens to required standards
Packaging and labelling cleaned items for delivery or collection
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the laundry facility
Following health and safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals
Supporting inventory management of laundry supplies and materials
Reporting equipment issues or maintenance needs to management
What we're looking for
Previous experience in laundry operations or commercial cleaning services is preferred
Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy loads regularly
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
Reliability and punctuality, with a willingness to meet production deadlines
Basic understanding of different fabric types and appropriate cleaning methods
Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and machinery
Knowledge of health, safety, and chemical handling procedures
Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and techniques
