Bithour Production, the #3 fastest-growing advertising agency and production house in Jakarta, is looking for a talented Video Editor with a cinematic eye to join our team of over 50 creative minds. We help local and international brands build unforgettable identities through high-impact TV commercials, company profiles, social media campaigns, and cinematic brand films.
Responsibilities:
- Cinematic Cut-to-Cut Editing: Craft compelling narratives by selecting and cutting the most impactful shots for commercials, teasers, and brand trailers.
- Audio & Visual Synchronization: Masterfully match video cuts with sound design, voiceovers, and background music/scores to amplify emotional impact.
- Pacing & Suspense Control: Control the rhythm of the video (from slow, magical Ghibli-esque atmosphere to fast-paced action sequences) to keep the audience hooked.
- Story Teasing: Structure edits that generate high curiosity and excitement without revealing the entire plot or message upfront.
- Creative Collaboration: Work closely with directors, scriptwriters, and sound designers to bring the creative vision to life.
- Trend & Tool Adaptability: Stay updated with modern editing styles, color grading trends, and cutting-edge post-production software.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Video Editor, preferably with a portfolio showing promotional videos, trailers, or cinematic teasers.
- Flawless Pacing Sense: Deep understanding of "the invisible cut," comedic/dramatic timing, and action editing.
- Audio Sensitivity: Exceptional ability to match visual transitions seamlessly with music beats and audio crescendos.
- Software Proficiency: Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro. (Basic knowledge of After Effects for text overlays is a plus).
- Narrative Mindset: Ability to look at raw footage and instantly figure out how to arrange it into an emotional hook.
- Communication: Strong collaboration skills to handle tight agency feedback loops.
