Job Description:
Perform routine system maintenance, including patching, updates, and backups.
Monitor system performance and availability.
Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs.
Monitor network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Support physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and cloud environments.
Maintain IT assets records and infrastructure inventory.
Response to system alerts and incidents in accordance with established SLA.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Escalate issues and coordinate with vendors as required.
Implement and maintain security best practices to protect information assets.
Identify and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
1–2 years of experience in system/network administration or IT infrastructure support.
Proficiency in Linux server administration
Good knowledge of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN.
Experience with virtualization platforms, particularly Proxmox and cloud services such as Alibaba Cloud.
Familiarity with monitoring tools, including Grafana
Understanding of IT security principles and compliance frameworks, such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Available to start immediately and open to a 12-month contract role
