Software QA Engineer (Automation)

We build enterprise web-based solutions for clients worldwide, including Australia, Indonesia, Europe, Africa, and America. Our clients in Indonesia include Astra International, Traveloka, Angkasa Pura, and Peduli Anak Foundation. In Australia, our clients include Bike Exchange, Downsizing, Red Balloon, Sectara, and many more.

Responsibilities: 

• Review and understand complex business/system requirements and design documents.
• Develop, create, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Analyse test results, identify issues, and report bugs and errors to development teams.
• Conduct extensive regression testing and thorough post-release/post-implementation testing.
• Collaborate closely with other QA engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure software quality.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Document detailed testing activities and results, and provide comprehensive test reports.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts with minimal supervision.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in software testing.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
• Proficient in TypeScript (main stack) or at least JavaScript for automation scripting.
• Strong understanding of STLC and Agile testing processes.
• Skilled with automation tools such as Playwright or Maestro.
• Experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Detox, or Espresso.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of API testing and backend validation (REST/GraphQL).
• Familiar with CI/CD workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab,
• Experience with Dockerized testing environments and test sharding strategies.
• Strong understanding of mobile testing, including touch gestures, orientation changes, network condition testing, and cross-device compatibility.
• Experience building comprehensive testing strategies from scratch.
• Product-driven mindset with the ability to identify UX issues and business logic gaps.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or LLM-based tools for automation workflows.
• Familiarity with security testing concepts and OWASP best practices.
• Strong communication skills in English (speaking & writing).
• Willing to work onsite at Yogyakarta.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud testing platforms such as Amazon Web Services Device Farm and Google Firebase Test Lab
• Familiarity with AI/ML and conversational AI testing, including model validation, reliability, bias testing, and agentic workflows
