RoleSummary:
Responsible for formulation and execution of the banks server architecture framework and methodology by building and supporting scalable governance processes, participating in the negotiation of external service contracts and coupling existing server architectural design with the Banks goals and objectives.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Responsible for server performance measurements and reporting of outcome.
- Responsible for activities relating to the definition, development and maintenance of a best-practice.
- server architecture framework and methodology, including working with Technology leadership in assessing new server purchases and determining fit capability within current architecture.
- The incumbent will participate in projects where creative technical guidance in the area of specialty is required. Implement a high level of automation in the infrastructure to meet business needs in a cost- effective and timely manner.
- Support, Monitor and Maintain production systems, products, and applications. Ensure that all work performed adheres to best practices so as to ensure the end-to-end confidentiality, availability, and integrity of data. Key participant in the Problem Management process.
- Working with other units, participate in the Incident Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, Release Management, Availability Management, Capacity Management, and IT Service Continuity Management processes.
- As per the technical architecture plans, capacity plans, and business plans, produce medium term plans (one to three years) to manage, procure, test, install, train, and support the server infrastructure needed to support the institution across all regions.
- Balance customer requirements and clarify goals in a demanding and changing environment to ensure that service to external clients is the best in the market. Maintain contact with external vendors and consultants (e.g. Microsoft and IBM) to improve service levels while maintaining cost.
- Responsible for providing the Head with strategies as well as executing on these strategies.
