Massage Therapist

Job Summary

A Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional massage and body treatment services to clients to promote relaxation, relieve stress, reduce muscle tension, and support overall wellness. The therapist assesses client needs, recommends appropriate treatments, and ensures a safe, comfortable, and hygienic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of massage treatments, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Aromatherapy, and Therapeutic Massage.
• Assess clients' physical conditions and discuss medical history before treatments.
• Develop customized treatment plans based on client needs and preferences.
• Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes.
• Ensure treatment rooms, equipment, and linens are clean, sanitized, and properly maintained.
• Educate clients on wellness, stretching exercises, posture improvement, and self-care techniques.
• Monitor clients' comfort levels throughout treatments and adjust techniques as needed.
• Comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Promote spa or wellness center services and products when appropriate.
• Handle appointment scheduling and maintain professional client relationships.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certification in Massage Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid professional license or certification as required by local regulations.
• Previous experience in a spa, wellness center, clinic, or hotel environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
