The R&D Product Development Staff is responsible for driving growth through innovation and renovation of the company's product portfolio. This includes end-to-end product development—from ideation and raw material sourcing through lab and factory trials to the creation of product dossiers. Additionally, this role supports cost-saving initiatives and ensures seamless collaboration with regulatory and documentation teams.
Key Responsibilities (Job Description)
New Product Development (Innovation):
Lead and participate in product ideation, formulation design, and search for new raw materials.
Execute laboratory trials, manage sensory evaluation panels, and scale up formulations during factory trials.
Compile comprehensive product dossiers for final handovers.
Existing Product Improvement (Renovation):
Enhance existing products through quality improvements, alternative raw material sourcing, and localized raw material replacements.
Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality and integrity.
Regulatory Support:
Prepare, compile, and support all necessary technical documents required by the Regulatory Department for MD (domestic product registration) and ML (imported product registration) compliance.
Documentation Management:
Create, update, and review all R&D-related documentation, including Product Specifications and Raw Material Specifications.
Job Qualifications
Educational Background: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related science field (with a preferred focus/knowledge in Dairy Technology & Science).
Technical Skills:
Strong foundational knowledge in food technology and dairy manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and organizing factory trials.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) for documentation and communication.
Software Skills: Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for day-to-day operational tasks and reporting.
Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, strong attention to detail, and good cross-departmental collaboration skills.
