Job Purpose
The Vice President Finance is responsible for leading the company’s overall financial strategy, governance, and compliance within the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) framework, including managing all financial matters related to SKK Migas, cost recovery, budgeting, reporting, and audits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Leadership & Strategy
Lead and oversee the company’s end-to-end finance function including Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Budgeting, and Reporting.
Develop financial strategies aligned with PSC requirements and corporate objectives.
Provide strategic financial advice to the Board and senior management.
2. PSC Accounting & SKK Migas Relations
Ensure full compliance with PSC Accounting standards, including:
Cost Recovery / Gross Split mechanism
WP&B (Work Program & Budget)
AFE (Authorization for Expenditure)
POD financial implications
Act as the main financial liaison with SKK Migas, including coordination for:
Budget approvals
Financial reporting
Audit clarifications
Lead preparation and submission of SKK Migas financial reports accurately and on time.
3. Budgeting, Cost Control & Performance
Oversee annual and multi-year WP&B preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
Implement strong cost control and financial discipline in line with PSC rules.
Review operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX).
4. Financial Reporting & Compliance
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of:
Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Management reports and dashboards
PSC-specific financial reports
Ensure compliance with Indonesian GAAP (PSAK), PSC regulations, and internal policies.
5. Audit, Tax & Risk Management
Lead internal and external audits, including SKK Migas audits and joint partner audits.
Oversee corporate and PSC-related tax compliance.
Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
6. Stakeholder & Partner Management
Coordinate with Joint Venture partners, auditors, regulators, and external advisors.
Manage communication with shareholders related to financial performance and PSC matters.
7. Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop the finance team.
Build strong succession planning and capability within finance organization.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s / CPA preferred).
15+ years of experience in Finance within Oil & Gas industry.
Strong and proven experience in PSC Accounting and dealing directly with SKK Migas.
Experience handling WP&B, cost recovery, PSC audits, and joint venture reporting.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
