General Manager – Farm Operations (Batam, Indonesia)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the overall operations of a cash crop farm in Batam, Indonesia. The role is responsible for managing approximately 300 employees across farm operations, finance, HR, administration, procurement, and maintenance functions, while ensuring operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and oversee all farm operations and support functions.
2. Manage departmental leaders and a workforce of approximately 300 employees.
3. Drive sales, operational performance, productivity, and cost efficiency.
4. Own and manage the farm's Profit & Loss (P&L), ensuring revenue, profitability, and financial targets are achieved.
5. Monitor and control Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), operating expenses, and resource utilization to maximize profitability.
6. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, and resource planning.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
8. Develop and maintain a high-performing and accountable work culture.
9. Provide regular operational and financial reports to the owners and recommend improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years of management experience in agriculture, plantation, livestock, aquaculture, manufacturing, or related industries.
2. Proven experience leading large teams and managing day-to-day operations.
3. Experience managing P&L, budgets, COGS, and operational performance.
4. Able to communicate in Mandarin.
5. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
6. Willing to be based in Batam, Indonesia.
