Accounts Assistant Overview
The Accounts Assistant will support day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely transaction processing, and robust financial controls. This role is ideal for someone organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with international teams.
When to start: Early to mid-April 2026
Working hours: Monday - Friday at 09:00 - 18:00 (including 1 hour lunch break)
Key Responsibilities
Daily Accounting & Transactions
Process supplier invoices and staff expense claims.
Prepare and process payments to global suppliers.
Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date accounting records.
Banking & Reconciliation
Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple currencies.
Monitor cash flow and alert the finance manager to variances.
Client & Booking Support
Assist with issuing client invoices and receipts.
Coordinate with travel consultants regarding payment statuses and booking queries.
Track payments against itineraries to ensure timely settlements with suppliers.
Financial Reporting
Support month‑end close activities.
Prepare reports, summaries, and data for management as required.
Assist with audits and compliance documentation.
General Administration
Maintain organised filing and finance documentation.
Support the finance and broader team with ad‑hoc tasks.
Assist with improving internal finance processes.
Requirements
Essential
Experience in an accounts or finance support role.
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
Good Excel/Google Sheets skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred
Experience working in the travel or hospitality industry.
Understanding of multi-currency accounting.
Knowledge of Indonesian accounting or basic tax processes (beneficial but not required).
