About the Role
We are seeking a mature, energetic, and nurturing individual to serve as a dedicated companion and mentor for a 13-year-old child of a Company Director. This position is for a special needs child and requires a candidate who is patient, compassionate, and experienced in supporting children with unique developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs. The successful candidate will act as a positive role model, mentor, activity partner, and trusted companion, supporting the child's personal development, social skills, physical activities, educational enrichment, and recreational experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Accompany and supervise the child during daily activities outside school hours.
Serve as a mentor, role model, and positive influence in personal growth and character development.
Participate in and encourage sports, fitness, and outdoor activities.
Engage in educational, recreational, and creative activities appropriate for a teenager.
Travel with the child domestically and internationally when required.
Help organize productive, educational, and enjoyable schedules and activities.
Provide guidance in developing discipline, independence, confidence, communication, and social skills.
Foster a positive, supportive, and trusting relationship with the child.
Coordinate and communicate regularly with parents regarding the child's activities and development.
Ensure the child's safety, well-being, and comfort at all times.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Sports Science, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience as a teacher, tutor, mentor, coach, youth counselor, child companion, nanny, or similar role.
Previous experience working with children with special needs.
Active lifestyle with a genuine interest in sports and outdoor activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, responsible, mature, trustworthy, and highly professional.
Comfortable interacting with and mentoring teenagers.
Willing to travel frequently, including overseas travel when required.
Good command of English; additional languages will be an advantage.
