Role Description The Operational Tug & Barge role at PT Daya Bahtera Sumatera & Group is a full-time, on-site position based in North Jakarta. This role is responsible for overseeing daily tug and barge operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring vessel movements to ensure safe and efficient voyages. The position involves coordinating with port authorities, clients, and internal teams, preparing operational reports, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and applicable maritime regulations. The role also includes assisting in resolving operational issues, optimizing routes and fuel usage, supporting cargo planning, and contributing to continuous improvement of operational workflows. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with sales and project teams to align operational execution with customer requirements and contract commitments.
Qualifications
S1 in Marine Transportation Management / D3-D4 in Nautical Studies / Maritime Vocational School (SMK).
Minimum 2 years of experience in tug & barge operations.
Familiar with vessel operational procedures and safety standards.
Physically fit, disciplined, and able to work in a team.
Strong analytical skills to interpret operational data, identify issues, and support decision-making.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with crew, internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
Ability to work on-site in North Jakarta and adapt to a dynamic operational environment, including occasional extended hours as needed.
Proficiency with common office software and operational tracking tools; experience with logistics or fleet management systems is an advantage.
