Overview

The Legal & Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This position is responsible for managing legal documentation, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance, particularly within the fintech and securities crowdfunding sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Indonesian financial regulations, especially those governed by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and demonstrate the ability to support business operations through legal advisory, risk mitigation, and compliance oversight. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OJK and POJK regulations (POJK 57/2020 & POJK 17/2025).

• Oversee capital market compliance in coordination with KSEI and custodian banks.

• Conduct legal due diligence for prospective issuers, partners, and corporate structures.

• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as agreements, NDAs, MoUs, guarantees, and legal opinions.

• Provide legal advisory services to support strategic and operational business decisions.

• Support dispute resolution and litigation processes, including coordination with external legal counsel.

• Ensure adherence to governance standards, including AML/CTF and ESG compliance.

• Monitor regulatory developments and provide recommendations for compliance improvements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Technology, Risk, and Management.

• Develop and maintain internal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.

• Assist in regulatory reporting and licensing requirements related to fintech and capital markets.

• Promote legal awareness and compliance best practices across the organization.


Qualifications

Must-Have Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.); a Master of Laws (LL.M.) is a strong advantage.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Legal, Compliance, Capital Markets, Fintech, or related industries.

• Strong understanding of OJK Securities Crowdfunding (SCF) regulations and Indonesian financial laws.

• Familiarity with capital market infrastructure, including KSEI and custodian banks.

• Proven experience in contract drafting, legal analysis, and regulatory compliance.

• Knowledge of POJK regulations, particularly POJK 57/2020 and POJK 17/2025.

• Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in fintech, securities crowdfunding, or financial services industries.

• Professional certifications related to compliance, risk management, or corporate governance.
